Pride Edinburgh returns to the Capital on Saturday 16th June 2018 with the theme of “True Colours” and our annual event will again be produced by Capital Pride, the charity we formed in 2017 to support our work.
Pride Edinburgh will be staged at the University of Edinburgh’s Student association (EUSA) buildings at Potterrow and Teviot following successful events held there in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017.
Events on the 16th June will begin with our Annual Pride Scotia March which in previous years has seen as many as 10,000 people from across the LGBTQI+ Spectrum join us to make a statement to the world. Events then begin in both Teviot House and Potterrow with a full programme of entertainment including our biggest ever Community and health and wellbeing fair, family entertainment and ceilidh dancing.
We are delighted to announce our main stage, renamed the Manchester Airport San Francisco Stage in honour of our headline sponsor will return outdoors on a specially constructed stage on Bristo Square. The stage will feature a plethora of acts including the return of Stooshe, Caitlyn Vanbeck and Pride Favourite Lloyd Daniels with more acts still to be announced.
There are also many other events planned during the day with a Youth Space, Trans space and community entertainments along with Leap sports holding a special Pride fitness centre in Potterow dome. We will also be hosting our second Annual Pride Run in the meadows on Pride morning. It’s sure to be a real celebration of diversity.
