Edinburgh Art Festival (EAF) will celebrate its 20th birthday in 2024. Expect a wide-ranging programme that cultivates connections between artists, collaborators and communities both globally and locally, as well as a range of museum and gallery partner exhibitions, commissions and events across the Scottish capital. Dates for EAF can today be announced as 9–25 August 2024.
EAF is the UK’s largest annual visual art festival and is deeply rooted in Edinburgh and in Scotland, with a global dialogue and connection; amplifying intersectional voices and perspectives through a city-wide programme with partners. A range of projects by those making work globally will sit alongside work from those living and working in Scotland.
The festival will build on the work started under Director Kim McAleese, whose first festival took place in 2023. This year’s programme will feature an ambitious series of projects, exhibitions and events showcasing international and UK-based artists at pivotal points in their careers, as well as platforming a range of early-career talent from Scotland and beyond.
The programme will be announced in March 2024.
