Today marks the release day of Time Capsule, the debut EP from the duo, which is streaming in full here and released via All Points / Blue Adventure. Here’s the pair breaking down the influences that went into the recording:
Time Capsule serves as a soundscape of the city, both growing up in London, we have found that the city holds an eclectic mix of sounds both musically and otherwise. ‘Sweet Shop’ serves to elicit the rushing adrenaline of city stimulus in the listener, whilst the title track ‘Time Capsule’ reflects the diverse cultural musical influence of the African diaspora and the city streets and their amalgamation in the capital. ‘Breath’ featuring Theo Croker, is fleeting respite in the constant haste and uproar that is the city. Finally, ‘Rush Hour’ is that uproar embodied – the haste and city sonics coming to claim the forefront once more.
