Modern Digital by Als Couzens

I create modern & vibrant digital artwork of things I love including Animals, Edinburgh & Cycling. I have a range of styles to keep things interesting, these include – Modern Digital Paintings, Breeds prints and Edinburgh art. I am always developing my bespoke techniques and also passionate about creating fun and affordable art for all.

My modern digital paintings are designed using my own photographs and by digitally painting using a graphics tablet and pen on a computer, producing a unique, modern style. I use traditional techniques with modern tools to create a vibrant artwork.

My breeds prints were inspired by old school livestock breed posters of British farm animals that I had on my wall as a child. My front facing style gives a unique perspective on farm animals along with the vector design to deliver a modern individual twist.

Living in Edinburgh, I wanted to create fun and interesting art which illustrated historical elements of the city in my own distinctive and varied styles.

Als Couzens is a local Edinburgh based artist/designer. Born in Cumbria and growing up in a farming community, he moved north to study Zoology at St. Andrews University. With a flair for creating brands, he worked as a freelance Graphic Designer and started to develop his own unique style of modern digital artwork as a hobby. This hobby has now grown and he works as a full time artist designing modern digital artwork. His ethos is to create fun, vibrant and affordable artwork and produce everything locally where possible.
