Melting Pot Music unveiled their collaborative venture with London Community organisation The Silhouettes Project, providing a new platform for up and coming Hip-Hop, Soul and Jazz artists from the UK. Founded by Asher Korner (aka Kosher) and Jaden Osei-Bonsu (Eerf Evil), The Silhouettes Project was fueled by the need and passion to create a space where artists can connect and create progressive music with a message.
The Silhouettes Project provides an open space – a recording studio and live venue (located within the Total Refreshment Centre in Hackney, London) – where MCs, singers, musicians and producers can connect and create. Following a series of packed out live events in late 2019 and early 2020 a group of core artists were invited to Asher & Jaden’s Root 73 Studio to create an album.
In Asher + Jadens words:
We knew from the first few sessions that we were on to something, and the energy around the project kept it moving. ~ Project founders Asher Korner and Jaden Osei-Bonsu
From this album, each Thursday, a new track will be released – showcasing months of behind the scenes work, pairing some of London’s most up and coming artists together from, creating a snapshot of the vibrant Hip Hop scene bubbling away beneath the surface.
