Singer-songwriter and interdisciplinary artist from Montreal, Olivia Khoury unveils her newest single “Fall Forward”. The track offers a glimpse of her evolving artistic journey following Portraits, her critically acclaimed EP from 2023, and hints at more music to come.

Alongside the release, Olivia sets her sights internationally and shares details of her upcoming London debut headline show on November 28th in Holborn.

“Fall Forward” challenges creative boundaries with its genre-bending approach to music as it blends live instrumentation and high-calibre production. Envisioning her mind as a courtroom, Olivia tackles self-judgment and personal responsibility, asking: How can one defend oneself when the line between self-critique and inner truth begins to blur? Her honest lyricism explores resilience, a fitting theme in light of recent global events. Together with Reno McCarthy who also produced her EP Portraits, they have crafted a sound that is both polished and organic as the track culminates into a bold vocal forward outro from the guitars and the live drums by Olivier Guertin. Her mixed Caribbean and Lebanese heritage shapes her desire for a versatile musical expression leaving it up to the listener to decide what genre her music falls into.

After immersing into the UK music scene in 2020 that brought her 2021 single “Heath” into life, Olivia has felt a deep connection to London’s musical landscape. She returns to London with a debut headline show on November 28th in Holborn. Performing in the same vibrant scene that nurtures artists like Jordan Rakei, Olivia sees this milestone as a major step toward reaching an international audience. Don’t miss her first performance with London-based musicians.

With an unforgettable voice and an eclectic background in dance and music, Olivia Khoury’s unique sound is both introspective and expansive. In 2023, her bilingual debut EP, Portraits, garnered widespread acclaim for its dreamy vocals and innovative, jazz-adjacent style. Noteworthy coverage include reviews in Le Devoir, a live TV performance on Belle et Bum, and the 2023 Jazz EP of the Year award at GAMIQ. Building on this momentum, Olivia has been honing her sound with rising support from the industry, including being a SOCAN TD Incubator-selected mentee. Fall Forward is her latest release, a taste of more music to come in 2025.
