My work will almost always, revolve around and include my family and our 101 problems. Taking subjects which effect me negatively and producing something positive from them has became a recurring theme within work. I’d like to pretend I’ve had many influences through out my practice, but I hate liars. I definitely have artists who’s work I can relate to and appreciate on some level, but I like to think I discovered my own style and developed it independently. As you can see, I enjoy mediums which have little restriction and one which I can experiment with a great deal. I’m not all that tidy so paint has been a wonderful discovery for me. I like to leave my work open to interpretation and help try to give portraiture the recognition it deserves.
